As much as I try to use Notion for my limited note-taking needs, I really don't have a habit of taking daily notes outside of work. Maybe this blog scratches that itch to some degree, even if I can't go into specifics for a lot of things.
This is going to be another blog post that feels like it should have been limited to a Notion note, but I might as well lean into my established patterns of behavior.
I've had a few blog posts about different plans for this and that - let's put them all together and update on where things stand!
- Kindle Unlimited - I still intend to do this eventually, but I'm trying to hold off for as long as possible in order to be smarter about my spending. I'll most likely pull the trigger when I decide to resume reading Dungeon Crawler Carl, or when one of our family book club selections turns out to be available on Kindle Unlimited.
Marvel UnlimitedMarvel Comics - As recently discussed, I'm now forced to wait for Marvel to launch its new Marvel Comics app before I can sign up for any unlimited comics service from the publisher. I have more than enough titles to read in the meantime, so this probably saves me money in the interim.- 8BitDo Pro 2 Controller - Not a priority purchase given how infrequently I play computer games, but I'm on the lookout for sales in case the option to pick it up for cheap presents itself. This may be a chicken-and-egg situation where getting the controller may increase my computer game play time, but not before. We'll see.
- Alpaka Elements Backpack Pro - The conclusion of yesterday's post is that I'm going to wait for a big sale to try to get it before my next trip in December. This doesn't stop me from tuning into Alpaka's TikTok livestreams daily in case something comes up.
If only I applied similar thought and evaluation to some of my board game crowdfunding pledges. As much as I do my best to fully evaluate a game before signing up, I'm painfully aware that I'm still left with a silly number of in-progress crowdfunding campaigns that I'm waiting for fulfillment because of my somewhat impulsive pledging. I can probably argue better about how good a game is going to be versus before, but it would be a lot friendlier on my credit card to have fewer projects in queue.
