0300D: Busy Saturday

Saturday - Giants Moving Tiny Furniture

Before this month's big game night, Tobie had a modest book talk and signing event called Sabwatan at The Stacks at Ayala One in Makati. For those unfamiliar, The Stacks is one of those small book nooks in the mall that are meant to be a sort of community library. I wasn't sure how that was going to be a venue for something like a comic book reading, but it was also an experiment for the publisher, so we figured it couldn't hurt to try. It definitely wasn't the most ideal venue for any sort of discussion, but we did manage to snag some curious passers-by, and even some of Tobie's students showed up, so that was quaint.

For today's game night, we've all packed a ridiculous number of games to the event - I did mention yesterday that we all had new games from recent board game events. We had a total of 14 games of varying complexity in our massive board game bag and were under no illusion of being able to play all of them. But it's never bad to be prepared, right?

Surprisingly, we played a good number of big group games to kick things off. We had 6-8 players for games like Giants Moving Tiny Furniture, Metro Bingo, Uninvited Guests at a Wedding, Fold-It, Hey Yo, Chai Market Mayhem, and Incan Gold. There's still fair amount of time left in the night, and we'll probably split up into smaller groups at this point to explore more complex games.

Good stuff.
