0300C: Friday Home Challenges

Friday - Icebergs Split

We're staying home tonight since we have a busy weekend ahead. Tobie has a reading for his comic in the afternoon, right before our monthly board game session with our core gaming group. That'll be an overnight affair, so we're going to be out for a better part of the day, well into Sunday.

Given that, there's an intimidating mess of games that we had acquired at the PH Asian Board Games Festival and All aBOARD EXPO that I'm hoping to prep for tomorrow's game session. Not everyone realizes that games aren't necessarily ready to play right out of the box, and it can feel oddly therapeutic to punch out components, sort cards, and get things organized for the first playthrough. We prefer to play games on our own before teaching others, but the sheer number of games in the queue means that we're going to just dive in tomorrow regardless of familiarity. It'll make teaching the games even more challenging than normal, but this is the sort of group that rolls well with the punches.

Sunday is a surprisingly light day in contrast since we're down to one active RPG campaign these days. We'll probably need the recovery time given how our Saturday is plotted out, so I guess that's a good thing.

For tonight, I need to figure out what to do about the Geeky Guide. I haven't really been able to work on the site since I got back from Singapore, so tonight's going to feel like cram time again. Whoo boy.
