Well, we did - our game night included learning two rather complex games in the same night. Unconscious Mind was totally gorgeous, and all the accolades for the game's art totally make sense. And we haven't even played with all of the deluxe components that came with Tobie's set just yet. I also managed to get through an initial session for Galactic Cruise as planned, but it also took quite a while to get through this learning game with the group. It's a good thing that I've gone through the process of learning several games like this - the more recent Lacerda releases like On Mars, Weather Machine and Inventions all had a similar degree of challenge and complexity.
Other games that helped to round out the night included Takenokolor, Harmonies, Duplik, Mists Over Carcasonne and Rebirth, although I didn't get to play most of those since I was involved with the heavy games mostly. So technically, I only played three of those games last night and didn't manage to win any of them. But it was still a great game night - and it means that we'll be able to keep these new games in rotation more as we go.
In other news, I had gotten an email last month that all of my blog domain subscriptions were going to get like over 30% more expensive upon renewal. This already a weird state of affairs since I had initially gotten the domains via Blogger, then opted to shift to Google Domains just to support the product (despite the modest price increase), but then Google decided to sunset this product and migrated everyone to Squarespace. I wasn't the biggest fan of this forced migration and with this price increase, I figure I might as well risk a transfer.
I've initiated the process to migrate my domain registration for Baduy Pride over to Namecheap as an initial test. If that goes well, then I'll probably migrate the rest of my blog domains over even before the current registrations are set to expire just to wash my hands of Squarespace.
