Last night was O Bar's annual Halloween event, the Liberation Party. We managed to assemble a full table of friends this time around, which was a nice change from our situation over the last few events. Only two of us took the time to wear some awesome costumes this year, and the rest of us inadvertently chose to wear black. To be fair, it's probably the default color for a Halloween event, but it was still a little funny as we looked like we were all support staff or something. The official photographers for the event were in similar attire, so we fit right in.
We were really looking forward to the show, as we knew the performers had been working on the numbers for weeks. Words can't really capture how big O Bar production numbers come together, but it's safe to say their efforts were certainly worth it. They executed some pretty ambitious numbers that came together quite well. The team should totally be proud of themselves for what they did, and we made sure to let them know after the show. It'll be a while before they'll manage to stage some of these numbers again, which is what makes these event nights particularly special.
We've mostly been in recovery mode today. We managed to get this week's Kadiwa Market out of the way right after O Bar. That let us sleep in and just take things easy. We ordered a hearty bossam lunch from To-Dak To-Dak, but I somehow forgot to take photos of it. But there's no regretting the meal itself, so that's still a win. We watched Disclosure Day as our quasi-Halloween entertainment, and tonight we're watching Final Destination Bloodlines.
I hope you all had a good weekend. I still have work tomorrow, but Tobie has the day off, so we'll see how things pan out.
