It's Halloween weekend, and things have been rather tame for us. We stayed in last night but will be at O Bar tonight, so at least that's something. No big costume plans this year - just some new matching shirts that Tobie acquired recently. He's running an RPG online right now, while I've been trying to clear as many books as possible to add to my October book stats.
For the month of October, I've clocked 35 books, including 3 audiobooks. That helps with my end-of-year goal to read a book a day on average, but I'm still behind pace by at least 10 books, so things are feeling a little tight. I'm trying not to shift too far into just reading comic books in order to whittle down the book target more quickly, but I'll probably have to pivot accordingly. In my defense, I'm still reading some pretty hearty books throughout all this, but it's still a lot to juggle.
We don't have any big plans tomorrow, so that leaves me some room to kickstart the new month with more reading. But I also feel like Tobie and I need to play some board games - October has been very light in terms of gaming, with only 9 plays logged. Things have been quite busy, and we only managed one game night this month - and it wasn't even at the Sietch. I doubt that we'll have better chances of getting guests to come over in November and December with the holidays in full swing, so we'll have to make gaming time on our own.
