0308F: Downshifting for Now

Thursday - 24/7 Salted Egg Chicken Wings

The last of my mutual fund reimbursements has cleared, so now I have a fair amount of GCash wallet credit to use mainly for O Bar tips. My other mutual fund has been converted into REIT stocks, so I've already hit my 10% portfolio target. Now it's just a matter of waiting for the dividends to come in while I map out the next phase of this part of my investment efforts.

It has been a rather frenetic week or so of making financial decisions and acting on them almost rashly. But hey, that's how I work - I research a subject intensely (even more so by leveraging AI), then make decisions quickly. That results in short-term movement, followed by a bit of a downer as I adjust to the new status quo. I love doing things that feel like improvements and upgrades to my processes and workflow, but it gets a little boring once the new systems are in place, more or less.

But I know I need to settle down. Too many changes tend to result in incidental expenses as well, which is the last thing I need right now. The goal of all the changes I've made over the past week has been to be more fiscally prudent, better manage my credit card debt, and enhance my long-term and emergency savings. I'm not getting any younger, after all.

So instead of buying things, I list them down until it feels safe enough to relax the purse strings a bit.
