In a rather surprising move, the impeachment voted to determine the majority vote threshold based on actual Senators participating in the trial. All the analyses had stated it would probably end in a near-draw, which would still defeat the motion. But they didn't just win by a slim majority - there were some interesting personalities deciding to go with the majority. I don't think this is a firm indication of how the trial as a whole will resolve, but it does give one hope.
There was a lot of interesting food today, mainly because we went to hawker centers I hadn't been to before. I really don't normally eat this much, but it's hard to say no to good food. So we had a hearty breakfast and took out food for lunch at the office. I was quite full for the rest of the day, but I still couldn't say no to the heart fish dinner. I will do my best to eat better tomorrow to make up for today.
We also had much better weather today compared to yesterday's rather torrential rains. It's still hard to determine how things will shift from day to day, but I'll take the wins as they come.
Pretty productive day at work. I think I cleared the last of my backlog items, and I already have new things to work on. Definitely a productive trip so far.
And I finished both our current family book club book and the second title in the Star Trek Titan series.
A good, yet still tiring day.
