I had a full workday, so that kept me busy. I had stuff I needed to catch up on because I was out traveling on Monday, plus a few things that just made more sense to address in person instead of doing so remotely last week. I'll be here for a full two weeks, so I'm trying to make the most of my time.
The weather situation is kinda nuts. The haze isn't as bad as it was in recent weeks, at least according to my sister. But it does end up feeling like the country is permanently overcast, even around noon when the sun is supposed to be at its highest. We did have some fierce bouts of rain in the afternoon, but I'm not sure if this is just a monsoon thing or potentially the effects of Malaysian cloud seeding operations aimed at mitigating the effects of the haze affecting the region. Between the haze and the unpredictable rains, things haven't exactly helped me consider venturing out on my own to meet up with friends in the area. Hopefully things settle down a bit as the week progresses.
At least I'm getting quality time with the nephews, albeit to varying degrees. Between their school schedules and our work schedules, that's a pretty narrow window of time together. And their interests are quite varied, so I need to approach each differently in order to get through to them. It takes work, but it's worth the effort for sure.
I feel pretty beat, but I think I'll squeeze in some O Bar videos and, of course, some more reading.
