My day started with a shocking email with the subject "Your blog titled "RockySunico.com" has been removed". The email detailed that my blog had somehow violated Blogger's Malware and Similar Malicious Content policy, thus meriting its removal. There was an option to ask for a review, but in the meantime I couldn't even view my past entries - the entire site had been locked. I did a quick scan of the Blogger Help forum (because Blogger customer support is non-existent, as with other Google consumer products), and I found a forum that confirmed this was some sort of machine-driven false positive error that had disabled a good number of sites, not just mine. Despite knowing that it was some error on their side, I was still very nervous that the site was lost and I wouldn't be able to recover all the stuff I've posted here.
The removal email came in around 02:00am. The site restoration email came in just before 10:00pm tonight. The whole time we were at the nearby SM for dinner and a grocery run, I was mentally drafting my blog entry in my head while accepting that I'd probably have to compose it offline, then publish it when (IF) the site came back. Thankfully, it did.
In other news, I made a Magic Commander deck based around the Runaways, as all members of the team already have cards and they have good exile synergy. The Young Avengers also have cards, but they seem harder to build because of greater color diversity. And as much as I want to make a New Warriors deck instead, we don't have the full team yet. Bummer.
That's all I have for now. Just glad the site is back. There was something else I wanted to write about initially before the site takedown - maybe I'll revisit the idea tomorrow.
