The weather has been rather abysmal today, primarily because I wasn't able to do laundry again. There was a brief moment before I started work for the day when I seriously considered whether I'd risk running a load. The sky wasn't quite clear, but there were distinctly blue parts of the sky that gave me some hope. I had trusted the weather reports yesterday, and thus missed a decent window for drying clothes outside. I trusted the weather forecast again today...and it proved correct. Maybe I'll get lucky tomorrow.
After dinner, I had the joy of helping Tobie's mom set up her new printer. It's one that promises the option for wireless printing, which seemed rather exciting. In the end, the finicky nature of setting up a printer is a problem that persists, and there was a lot of back and forth getting this one in line. I started on a desktop computer, but then couldn't get things to progress until I installed the mobile app and went through the same steps there. It's the way of modern technology - gone are the days of lengthy product manuals and installation guides. Instead, you get a QR code that instructs you to download the official app that handles first-time installation and such. At least it worked in the end, and the printer appears to be in proper working order.
Hoping for better weather tomorrow. And I think I need a happier book to offset both our family book club book and our ongoing K-drama. Life.
