This has been one of those rare weekends that involve back-to-back in-person board game nights. This used to be more of the norm when we were still based in BGC, and it has helped with my spirits given everything that has been going on this week.
Friday night's gaming involved a first-time player, so we have to shift our gaming lineup accordingly. We started with Point Salad, and proceeded to go through some dice-rolling classics - Machi Koro and Valeria Card Kingdoms. Then we got to end with a solid run of Tenby, which is fast-becoming a new love for me.
For tonight, we have our regular friends over for a full night of gaming. The twist for today is that I also invited a new friend who lives in the area to join us to see if board games will be something he'll enjoy as well. I earmarked some time for our core group to play a few harder games first before we had to shift to easier games once the new guy arrived.
Because I also had to figure out my Geeky Guide article for the week, we started with another good round of Tenby, then proceeded to have our first playthroughs of Forage and Hanami. Definitely a good trio of games to play, and it's nice to get so many newer games to the table.
More gaming to come. Let's see how the rest of the weekend plays out.
