Saturday - Luthier

Before I got around to writing this week's Geeky Guide update, we got to play a few rounds of MTG Commander with a friend online. Since we're only playing with virtual cards, it allows for a lot of flexibility like being able to play with the new Marvel precons without buying them of building decks with rather obscure cards just to see what comes out. For example, Tobie has a rather frustrating evasion deck built around the horsemanship keyword while I have a deck that'a all about Modular artifact creatures with aot of proliferation. I won both games - one with Doctor Doom and the other with my clockwork babies.

The aforementioned article felt really half-assed, which it was. It was just a quick post based on our current problem of not having a lot of time for today's game night given other obligations. We're not as busy tomorrow, so I plan to go back to on to clean it up and beef up the writing somehow. I really need to invest more time in the blog. I may be juggling too many things, or at least the last few weekends have been quite busy.

For our game night, it is a two-game experience for me and Tobie. Our friends requested that we play Luthier, which is a rather big game. So we knew bringing it would mean majority of our time would be invested in that game - but it was totally worth the experience because it is a very good game. So our secondary games are Cascadia: Alpine Lakes and Tenby.
