I've mostly packed my bag for the trip home and have opted to try to retain the LEGO Tintin Moon Rocket mint in box...for now? I kinda want to show the full set to Tobie, even if the box isn't particularly exciting, admittedly. I had to take the time to document the box on all sides and then...packed it in its compact shipping box anyway. My luggage is a bit awkwardly full, but it wasn't too difficult to close, at least. I still need to add in my toiletries tomorrow when I do final packing - that'll become the REAL test of the whole thing.
My pasalubong shopping had a bit of a hiccup since one of my usual items was largely out of stock today. I managed to snag the last one, but ended up with several alternatives to compensate. I might try to force another run tomorrow morning, but given how full my luggage already is, it's probably not a brilliant idea to do so. We'll see how.
Today was pretty productive. I spent the morning trying to get as much work done as possible before stepping out. We joined the parents for a hearty lunch at Bugis Junction, then made our way to Ngee Ann City since it was Mom's turn for a full Books Kinokuniya run. I managed to find the first book in Yukito Ayatsuji's House Murders series, which I had missed out on during my last trip in May and was not in stock last week. Good fortune! I also finally picked up the Come On, Psyduck! toy I had been eyeing since last week and had not found in any other toy store. I had no luck with his counterpart Parade! Pikachu, but that was just an optional thing. Only Psyduck matters.
We ate a lot of good food today, including a very hearty delivery dinner of some of the best prata. I still got to read a few bedtime stories for the boys before bed before I started wrestling with my luggage.
My last bit of worry is the lack of a prepared long-form article for the Geeky Guide this week. I might try to force it tonight, but I also don't want to sleep too late since I told the boys they could wake me up early tomorrow to play or whatever. Gotta make the most of my limited time here.
