02FFF: Lost Hours

Saturday - Blu Kouzina Fried Artichokes

After writing this week's Geeky Guide article about the differences between actual local board games and localized versions of international games, I figured I'd just read a bit more and settle down for bed. But one thing led to another, and I found myself struggling to sleep. Initially, it was easy to blame the book, since I ended up finishing it entirely instead of calling it quits earlier. But I had also ended up persisting in my heading since my asthma was acting rather prickly and several inhaler puffs did not seem enough to dispel the bad feelings. When I did fall asleep, it felt rather shallow, and I'd end up waking up again needing to puff. I finally fully settled into sleep past 04:00am, which resulted in me sleeping through the morning. I eventually got up for lunch, but I did regret having lost so much of the day.

At least we got to step out for lunch with the boys. We had Mediterranean food, and the boys were monstrously hungry since they had swimming class earlier, among other things. There were vague discussions about bringing the boys to this or that activity, but once we got back home, it was clear they were pretty tuckered out. While they busied themselves on their devices, we ended up watching "streaming copies" of the new Masters of the Universe movie (that was weird), and then The Sheep Detectives (loved it!). I also got a lot of reading done, but I'll try not to stay up finishing another book. But we'll see.

There were discussions to get some work done tonight, but everyone kind of tapped out. I'll still try to squeeze in a few things if I can work up the energy for it, just to clear more space for other stuff on Monday, if needed.

Another exciting Saturday in Singapore indeed.
