02FFA: Errands Holiday

Monday - Tahanan Sinigang

I tried to squeeze in some work today despite it being a work holiday for our office, but only managed to do one series of tasks. The rest of the day has been lost to trip-related errands since I'm flying out pretty soon. And I still need to pack my bag.

My errands for the day brought me all the way to BGC, funnily enough. I had some pending items on my list, and the best solution was to go to Market! Market! of all places. It was a good thing that we had a driver for the day, so I didn't have to bother Tobie (who still had work today). We made super quick-in, quick-out, so much so that I was sweating by the time we made our way back South. As much as it would be nice to roam around more of BGC beyond that one Ayala property, it was more important to avoid rush-hour traffic. Plus, it's not like I had made any plans to meet up with friends in the area ahead of time.

I also managed two loads of laundry today, although it was quite the struggle. It was quite a sunny morning when I first loaded the machine, but it was pouring cats and dogs later on and for the rest of the day. I actually had to use the dryer feature on our machine again to get through the laundry - both for clothes that I plan to bring with me during the trip and to make sure that Tobie has the maximum amount of clothes available to him while I'm away. The only good thing about using a dryer is that you're no longer limited to daytime laundry cycles, but the additional electricity costs do make me feel guilty.

The day has gotten away from me, but that's how things go. Busy week ahead.
