So, after our very late dinner last night and another episode of Agents of Mystery, we sat down for a learning game of Rewild: South America, one of the more recent games to arrive at the Sietch. I had backed this Kickstarter since it was from the same team that did the very involved Zoo Tycoon board game, and it features some very lovely art. The game was quite enjoyable with a unique strategic loop, and played faster than expected.
That didn't leave a lot of time for processing O Bar videos, but I at least got started on it. I was hoping to squeeze in more work today, but we had a family lunch and a quick gaming session that took up the rest of the day. Lunch was great and we probably spent more time swapping stories and getting everyone caught up.
Today wasn't a total gateway gaming session, which is great and quite promising for the future. We played Bus & Stop, Splendor: Pokémon, and finally Cascadia, which are all very solid games. He lives relatively nearby, so we're hoping that we get to game more regularly. I don't want to jinx it, but today was definitely a lot of fun.
The big agenda for the coming week is figuring out the last of our visa requirements for Korea and getting that ball rolling as soon as possible. We're literally running out of time for our planned trip, so it's going to be a little tight. Fingers and toes crossed, everyone.
