Work was a LOT. Like A LOT A LOT. So I'll just leave it at that.
I'm stuck in that anticlimactic state of waiting for things to start moving for the Geeky Guide after re-launching the site. Google has accepted my new sitemap feed and confirms it's able to pull information, but it also says that Google hasn't officially crawled the updated site. There were some initial SEO-related errors flagged that I've immediately fixed, but I'm waiting in the queue for Google to re-review the site. And even my Google AdSense account is still in review for the updated site, so that limited revenue stream isn't even active yet. I know I need to be patient, but UGH. JUST MOVE ALREADY, GOOGLE! 😑
Anyway.
I'm still a little behind on processing my O Bar videos, but at least I cleared another night's worth of videos last night. I haven't been able to add any new board game reviews to the site, and I think I need to set a KPI for myself in terms of how many reviews I should aim to write every week or even every day. I just have to keep everything moving forward. I don't want to invest in advertising or self-promotion while I'm still working on populating the site as a whole, but I can't help but feel a little angsty that things are taking as long as they are.
And don't get me started on the weird spammy site traffic coming from China.
So yeah, the site is weighing a little heavily on my mind this week. I'm clearly overthinking things, but what else can I do right? Maybe I'll feel less crazy once the Google stuff starts moving for real.
Ah well, back to "work".
