02F98: The Multi-Phase Site Plan

Monday - Tahanan Lunch

I now have over 70 board game reviews on the Geeky Guide, and I have a pretty steady process for churning more out. I have a system in place to help me sort games by priority, but I also enjoy going deep into particular franchises or game lines we have. So when you see clusters of reviews of a base game and its expansions, you know what's going on behind the scenes. As the collection of reviews grows, I know I need to think about how to dissect things further and make it easier for people to sift through all the content I'm churning out. I have some options, but I need to study how to implement something on the site. For now, the Phase 1 focus is getting more content out and being prepared for when Google's search index gets properly updated, and Google AdSense finally approves the new site to run display ads. One thing at a time!

While walking around the village after dinner, Tobie was already suggesting some interesting articles we could work on to further lean into our unique experience with board games. These all feel like future considerations, but I am pretty excited. Heck, I'm already eager to start work on getting the book reviews side of things set up as well. This is all very exciting, which is why I keep reminding myself to stick to the initial plan I mapped out and make sure I don't spread myself too thin. It hasn't even been a month since I got started on this revamp effort.

All this is more interesting to blog about than how busy work was today. You know how Mondays are, especially after short weeks like how the CNY holidays cut last week short.
