02F8C: Geeky Juggling

Wednesday - Tahanan Chopsuey

Tobie and I stepped out for a walk after dinner to help me clear my steps. We didn't walk as long as we did the other day - just about 2.5kms tonight. It was more a reflection of how many steps I needed, but maybe we should set a 3km minimum moving forward. But it was still a nice walk and a lot more fulfilling than just pacing back and forth in the Sietch.

My brain is bouncing back and forth between thinking about my plans for the Geeky Guide, thinking about my queue of O Bar videos, and keeping pace with my reading goals. I've only been able to finalize the main game review template with a half-done homepage and a partial legacy blog template for older posts. I have at least 92 O Bar videos in the queue for processing. And I'm 15+ books behind pace for my reading goal. Oh, I'm still talking to support to resolve a sync issue between my Airtable data and my Webflow site for the new Geeky Guide as well. It's a lot, but it's also stuff that I've voluntarily taken upon myself because of potential long-term benefits.

But there's so much to do in the short term. And I remain determined to get the new Geeky Guide off the ground before the end of this month, as I'm already playing for the services needed to get this whole "upgrade" working. Plus *waves hands* THE FUTURE.

I'm not super worried about the reading - I'll catch up eventually, more likely once the new Geeky Guide is live. I'm also generally okay with my O Bar queue - I'm going back to work on that first right after I publish this post. I just gotta keep track of everything and keep pushing things forward.

Let's end on a positive note: I finished listening to the audiobook for Project Hail Mary, and it's still SO GOOD. It's among my favorite science fiction books, and I'm quite excited for everyone to experience the story through the movie coming out next month. I just hope it lives up to my (book-influenced) expectations. But the trailers have given me a lot of hope thus far, so let's go with that.
