We had shifted our grocery efforts to Wednesdays because that's one of SM BF's known restock days, but things have not been great in recent weeks. Not only have veggies been limited, but what's there tends to be significantly more expensive than before. I'm hoping this is just holiday-related supply-and-demand effects that will normalize in time. But we're also going to shift grocery days back to Monday nights instead of Wednesdays because of an online RPG that will be starting for Tobie soon. Monday grocery days weren't the best, but they don't feel that different from recent Wednesdays, so I suppose it won't be that big of a difference.
The alternative is that some farmers are expected to be in the village this weekend to sell vegetables more directly. I'm not good with cash-only sales environments, but if it means more affordable produce in respectable quantities. We missed the last few times they were in the area, and today's grocery run has left me feeling even more determined not to miss this one.
On the TV front:
- We still haven't finished Boys Over Flowers
- I'm surprised that House has a total of 8 seasons, and we're still working through Season 7
- We've also been pacing the second season of Culinary Class Wars, but the twists this season have been rather bonkers
- We blitzed through Overcompensating (so good!) but otherwise avoided starting new shows until we clear House
- I'm so glad Taskmaster is on YouTube, as it makes for great light entertainment
The weather has been quite nippy this week, so much so that my asthma is making itself known again. My added weight isn't helping either, but all this should pass in time once the weather changes.
