Alpaka started their Black Friday sale quite early, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to get anything. I'm still trying to sell my original Flight Sling after getting the Japan Edition as a replacement, so I felt like I needed to hold off on any personal purchases. I finally sat down to look at the sale selection today and ended up doing more Christmas shopping for friends and family instead. I'm still being quite the Alpaka nerd, trying to get more people on board with their products, so I have no qualms about giving their nice bags and accessories as Christmas gifts. I'm still tempted to see if there's anything to get for myself as well, but at least I have spent enough to maintain my Platinum status.
Our primary Alpaka consists of wallets for me and Tobie, my two slings, along with Tobie's tote and laptop bag. I also have a toiletry bag and their packing cubes. All other Alpaka purchases have been gifts for other people, as I perpetuate this EDC upgrade cycle.
As it stands, I'm largely done with my Christmas shopping for this year, apart from actually buying the gifts I have planned for the nephews and a few other one-off gifts for closer friends. Not everything has arrived - we are still expecting various Lazada deliveries over the next few days and weeks to have everything in order.
We're already giving some of our gifts meant for the O Bar staff early, as this year's upcoming 20th anniversary celebration is going to act as a complication for our regular gift-giving. Plus, we don't want to deal with storing the items for too long at the Sietch - we're strapped for space as it is. At least we've already secured most of those gifts. Plus, I'm pretty excited about some of the gifts, so I'm eager to dole them out as well.
