I took a gamble by running a load of laundry this morning despite the tricky weather. But the forecast for the day promised me a decent window until around lunch time, as the precipitation projections for tomorrow seemed worse. My mistake was overloading the machine such that the cycle took longer than I had planned, so I had less time with the sun before things shifted. Thus, we have partially dry shirts draped on different pieces of furniture all around the Sietch since it started to drizzle in the early afternoon. It's less than ideal, but I'm sure I'll get everything fully dry before bed. And we'll survive the coming rains, if ever.
On the flip side, Tobie has an on-site engagement tomorrow, so that's kinda stressing us out. He has secured transport to and from the venue, but the bigger question is if it'll rain tomorrow and how badly. Then again, Metro Manila's flooding issues don't even need particularly strong rain - it just needs steady rain to get the metropolis to start going underwater. We don't have a new typhoon so far, but there's a tropical depression projected to hit Manila early next week. Stress.
Work was pretty good. I cleared more of the main things that I set out to address this week, and I think I'm on track for those additional task items I'm hoping to squeeze into my schedule. All work is important to varying degrees, and there's a lot going on across different initiatives - which is the norm. But I really hope to move the needle with what I have in mind. It sounds so cheesy to frame things that way, but I can never speak in specifics when it comes to discussing work things on this blog.
In other news, we finally got a friend to watch Business Proposal in earnest, and he enjoyed it a lot. But hearing how much he enjoyed the show has triggered a casual re-watch for us as well. This time around, I'm even shifting to the English dub to make it easier to leave playing while we do other things. And man, it's still as enjoyable as the first time. We're finally at the point in our K-Drama life where we're re-watching shows we like. In the meantime, we're still puzzling over what show to recommend next - it took us a while to get him to consider that one.
Fun things.
