02F23: Cursed Venue?

Wednesday - SaladStop!

So Tobie is under the weather, and the most likely reason is last Saturday's gaming event. He spent a better part of the day projecting across a rather sizeable game table, and maybe that strained something or exposed him to whatever. We're trying to manage his symptoms with all of my knowledge of over-the-counter medications in the hopes of turning things around sooner. Or maybe the venue, Hobby Kaikan, doesn't agree with us, as that's also where my frozen shoulder was ultimately triggered. We're 2-for-2 now in terms of having health issues after a weekend there. LOL

Anyway, Tobie took the day off, so I've largely been left to my own devices today. Were it not for work, I wouldn't have had anyone to talk to and would have just remained silent all day at the Sietch. This isn't a tragedy in itself, but it would certainly feel rather atypical. I'll always have stuff to read and weird shows to watch on the side without Tobie.

Speaking of weird shows, I've ended up starting ThamePo: Heart That Skips A Beat on Netflix as we don't really invest our shared TV time in Thai BL shows. It's very different from Western or Korean dramas we watch, and I'm still wrapping my head around the overall dynamic. At least this show doesn't feel as problematic as some of the others I've tried - those tend to lean into bullies turned into loves for some reason, at least when you look at older dramas. I blame myself for recently reading Kiss & Tell (Amazon affiliate link), a queer novel also about a boy band. Go figure.

Well, it's back to reading and processing O Bar videos for the rest of the night until it's time for Tobie's next medicine dose, before I also turn in for the night.
