02F15: Sietch Stories

Wednesday - SM Christmas Display

Tobie and I managed to blitz a grocery run tonight despite complications in the area. Ongoing roadwork (which never seems to end) has resulted in temporary one-way routing just outside the village. We encountered some of it yesterday when we stepped out for dinner, and there were reports that the work wasn't quite done as of tonight. Thankfully, things weren't too bad on our way to SM BF, and by the time we finished, it was also light enough on the way back. We had left a little later than usual due to work I needed to finish, thus we really had to compress things by focusing on our errands and deferring dinner until after.

Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale has reached its conclusion, and I can cancel my WOW Plus subscription by Sunday night. I re-subscribe whenever there's a Philippines-related season ongoing, and then I cancel again right after. We could probably blitz one more season of one of the main shows if we put some effort into it, but after our back-to-back K-Drama binges, I don't have the drive to do that again anytime soon.

The final episode was...weird, more in terms of how it was shot and less about who won. For some reason, the production seemed to be determined to keep the main stage empty, and none of the eliminated queens had any legitimate airtime beyond a hurried runway. As a whole, I wish production hadn't been so heavy-handed in how they telegraphed the winner of this season. We saw something similar with DRPH Season 3, and frankly, it's totally unnecessary. The winners are more than capable of winning on their own without production trying to weigh in. But I guess those are just one of the quirks of this franchise that we'll just have to continue to live with.

But yay, O Bar.
