02F14: Physical Updates

I'm unable to log into Canva as of the time of writing this blog post, so the usual blog header will have to follow later on. But here's a raw photo of what we had for lunch - it'll be the base image for my formal blog header eventually.

We got a massage after work today at a nearby spa. I've been working with a particular therapist on and off for my right shoulder - you know, the one that froze. And while I have most of my mobility back, it's still not quite back to normal strength, and I've been doing my best to keep up with regular exercises and home therapies along those lines. But a good massage every now and then helps too - at least when the therapist knows what he's doing. I had asked the spa specifically for someone who could help, and the guy they assigned has been pretty okay.

What I really want/need to do is get back into exercising. I've been rather cautious about pushing my right shoulder too much, but I'm at a point where I really want to do something to help with the overall level of physical activity. I know I can't lift heavy weights yet, but maybe I can bring back my resistance band work. I hope to ease myself back into yoga, even if I'll be limited to lighter flows or the more mechanical workouts that do pose after pose without smoother transitions. I'm keeping up with my steps, but I could also try jogging - at least when the weather is better. So many options...I just haven't gotten around to any of these. 

It's raining again tonight. I haven't been able to do laundry all week, and it's such a bummer.
