02EE7: Celebrations - Part 2

Saturday - Birthday O Boys

My Thursday birthday celebration at O Bar had a bit of a different flavor versus Friday night. Thursdays always feel a bit more intimate, and I got to jam onstage with the O2Men, and the show opened with several Kylie Minogue numbers, which always feels dedicated to me and Tobie. Fridays are busier nights, but are also when more friends are available to join us. Thus we had a larger table, more friends present and more familiar faces at the bar as well. I had my little moment on stage at the end of the first set along with a lovely cake from the bar.

A friend gave me a lovely scarf from Cambodia. I made the most of filming the performances with the aid of a monopod. And I only had half a shot of tequila because alcohol and painkillers don't mix well.

After the show, the O Boys went the extra mile, considering they had already given me flowers yesterday, by giving me a keto cheesecake and... two sets of earrings! And the boxes that the earrings came in were covered in little notes from each of them. We're big supporters of the boys (obviously) but it's super nice of them to do all this for me. They O Boys always do something crazily fun for my birthday.

I have not mentioned in this blog that I pierced my ears after getting back from my last Singapore trip. I've still been wearing the starter studs since then, but I have been leaning towards getting huggie earrings. The joys had given me a nice silver huggie pair along with a set of smaller rings that should also hug. I'm already wearing the silver one. The thinner ones may need to wait a bit since that ear still bled somewhat significantly after we tried taking the stud out. Maybe next week.

Today it's back to gaming as part of our celebratory activities. There were some complications with rain in the QC area, but we made it over in the end. This is another important circle of friends that I'll always make time to celebrate my birthday with.
