02EDF: Wet Friday

Friday - O Bar Chicken Poppers and Wombok

Some weird ups and downs at work today. A lot of it is par for the course, I suppose. But at the same time, it's just weird that all this happened around the same time. Definitely an interesting way to end the week.

Our weekend plans are a little mixed. We have an RPG meet-up tomorrow afternoon, which also involves a one-shot. That at least helps to check the gaming box for the weekend, and it has the added benefit of some in-person RPG gaming - a true rarity in this post-lockdown life. The weather isn't going to make leaving the Sietch feel all that appealing, but this should be worth the venture. We had extended an invite for some friends to come over to game, but they haven't confirmed whether or not they're actually coming over. BGA remains the fallback - in fact, we're playing online with another friend right now.

We're supposed to have an online RPG session on Sunday, and I hope that pushes through. The real lives of various players have significantly impacted recent RPG sessions across our two ongoing campaigns, and we can't quite catch a break. These things can't be helped - life is really a little unpredictable that way. But we'd like to get as much gaming in before the end-of-year holidays - then progress is REALLY going to slow down.

Beyond that, a bunch of Kickstarter games arrived today, so I have my work cut out for me in terms of unboxing and getting things ready for play. We now have Raising Robots with the Friends expansion. Point Salad, Propolis, Silos, EGO, and Orbit as part of our collection. They're a wild mix of games with some pretty diverse gameplay, so I'm rather eager to see how they all work.

Stay dry, everyone!
