02ED1: Weekend Entertainment

Friday - Bacolod Chicken Inasal

Tonight is the O Bar birthday show of the one and only Popstar Bench. I'm writing this blog update just before we're about to get ready to head out. We have an in-person board game session scheduled for tomorrow and an online RPG session on Sunday. It's still quite a full weekend schedule.

Beyond work, we've finally gotten started on the new season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and it's going pretty swell so far. It's still one of my favorite iterations of Trek - right up there with Lower Decks, I suppose. And this season has started with some interesting explorations of particular classic Star Trek ideas, along with bringing in some surprising characters. We'll be fully caught up by this weekend, and then that'll free us up to also align with the current season of Foundation

What we haven't decided on is what our next KDrama is going to be. We made sure to finish Reply 1988 before my Singapore trip, and that was a pretty good show. And while there are a great number of shows that we still haven't tried, figuring out which one to tackle next is always a bit of a puzzle. I think I'm still in the mood for something a bit lighter, so maybe we'll continue to explore previous iterations of Reply. It feels too soon to venture into When Life Gives You Tangerines since one of the leads was also in Reply. I'm not sure if we're ready to explore Resident Playbook, no matter how much we enjoyed Hospital Playlist. There are a lot of a medical stuff we can try, like Dr. Romantic. Or maybe we go for Twenty-Five Twenty One. which won't necessarily be light, but it does seem promising. Our last options are things like finally catching up with Squid Game or maybe the reality shows like Physical 100

What are you all watching these days?
