02EB6: Gaming Persistence

Saturday - Emberleaf Board Game

Despite the rains and the initial lack of plans, we managed to play a good number of board games in person thanks to a friend who made the trek south to visit us. And we played a good roster of things indeed. We started off with Caverna, as part of our efforts to introduce him to more games by Uwe Rosenberg. Then we tried some new games for the Sietch (although it turned out he had played them already) - Emberleaf and Rebel Princess. Then we rounded things off with a solid game of Earth and finally a quick round of Let's Go! To Japan.

We had rather gloomy weather today, and our tentative plans to take Tobie's mom out for dinner ended up shifting into eating a meal she brought home after mass instead. But it was nice to spend time together - things can get quite busy during the workweek, and we all get lost in our respective obligations.

In the interests of continued gaming, we at least reached out to friends to play some games on Board Game Arena. I got as far as trying to teach everyone how to play the Abundance expansion for Earth, and then we wrapped things up with quick rounds of Incan Gold and Flip 7

Now Tobie and I still have the rest of Saturday to ourselves, and thus far I've loaded Predator: Killer of Killers on Disney+ to play while we do other things.

Have a good weekend, everyone!
