The Senate is deliberately not acting on the impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte, and it's quite frustrating. Senate President Chiz Escudero has adamantly stated that they will handle the impeachment at their own pace, and also denied that there's a draft resolution being circulated to dismiss the case. But eventually Senator Estrada confirmed that the draft resolution exists, and finally Senator Bato (of course it had to be him) confirmed that at least "one of" the draft resolution/s was released by his office. It's ridiculous that we have lawmakers who are clearly not following their constitutionally-mandated duty to convene as an impeachment court because of obviously politically-motivated allegiances...but that's just how Philippine politics is these days.
We have a busy weekend ahead of us as Tobie has a booth at Komiket Pride, which will run at Ayala The 30th from 6-8 June 2025. I don't think I've ever been to that particular mall, so it's going to be an interesting experience. I've been digitally scouting the location, and the mall seems to be mostly government offices. As long as there's a Starbucks, I guess I'll survive. There doesn't seem to be much else, though, so at least I'll have all weekend to explore all the other Komiket Pride booths while there.
And last thing - I did end up loading Stellaris again after I thought about it on Monday. The latest 4.0 update is pretty comprehensive, and there's a lot that I need to relearn about the game. But I'm playing it on a pretty low difficulty level just so I can have a good time with it. I'm this close to wanting to pick up some of the more recent DLCs that I've yet to add to my installation. I'm a sucker for machine empires.
But now I need to get back to my O Bar video processing because my YouTube playlist is about to cross the 5k mark.
