02E78: Slower Sunday

Sunday - Gaming Reunion

So last night was a LOT of fun. After a brief test game of #inconversible, we spent the rest of the night playing Terraforming Mars, together with Prelude, Prelude 2, Venus Next, and Colonies expansions. As much as there are digital adaptations of specific aspects of this game, there's nothing quite like playing it in person at the table. It took us quite a while to finish the game, but it was definitely a lot of fun.

As much as we're trying to find nearby people to game with, it's really a special treat when our longer-time friends make the trek south to game with us. They're really very important people and time with them is precious. I wish getting around Metro Manila wasn't so difficult - and so expensive! We all deserve more time with our friends, regardless of where we all live relative to one another.

We couldn't quite keep our all-weekend gaming streak today. Our afternoon RPG session didn't push through to various real-world complications, but those are the kicks. So Tobie and I at least got a good massage and had a hearty dinner at a Japanese place we're developing a bit of a fondness for.

If we're lucky, maybe we'll find some friends to play board games with online or something. But we're perfectly content just being quite at home together and enjoying ourselves at the Sietch.
