02DE6: More Holiday Productivity

Sunday - Ticket to Ride: Legends of the West

Today was a rather labor-intensive day given all the work that still needs to be done to prepare the family house for the holidays. We're cutting it a little close in terms of all the prep work such as people who had to come in today to do work and another back coming tomorrow. And tomorrow is still a regular work day for me, so it's going to be interesting to say the least how we'll juggle everything. In response to my brother, I did say that this wasn't a holiday trip - this is a family trip. And as long as there are things that need doing, we'll get around to doing them.

And it's not like it has been all "work" - I've still managed to juggle a fair amount of reading in between chores (although I didn't clock any titles as complete today). And then we ended up diving into a legacy board game - this being Ticket to Ride: Legends of the West. I haven't played a lot of Ticket to Ride games but it was easy enough to transition into this version of the game. The legacy elements are unfolding steadily (although could be faster for a 12-session campaign), but it's definitely a great way to expand the game beyond the classic version.

I still want to find the time to clear my O Bar media before the rest of the family arrives as I'm pretty sure the nephews won't allow me a lot of dedicated computer time. Plus processing O Bar stuff still makes me happy during this non-O Bar period. I just gotta hang on until New Year.

Good night, folks.
