I really prefer to blog later in the day when more has happened so I have something to write about. But we have a long game night today and I rarely have the time or headspace to compose a proper blog entry in-between game turns, so I might as well try now. Let's blitz through before we rush off because we're hoping to start as early as possible to get more games in.
As mentioned, Tobie and I stayed in despite the strong urge to go to O Bar again. We got caught up on our current Exit: The Game advent calendar The Silent Storm as we hadn't been able to play the daily puzzles due to other activities this week. Thus we played through 5 puzzles back-to-back including the one meant for today, because again busy times. We love escape room games and puzzle games in general but these advent calendars are a unique treat. Who needs daily chocolates when you can have daily puzzles!
Beyond that, I'm finally on the last book (thus far?) of the Franklin U series of queer novels and it has been quite a ride. Some of them are delightful feel-good rom-com-style narratives and others are just kinda trashy. I feel like I should do a proper roundup of the 8 books in a future blog post to detail which ones I liked and which ones were just okay.
Lastly, I'm coming to the tail end of my #OBar19 series of social posts celebrating some of my favorite performances over the years. It has been a lot of fun going through my old photos and videos, which just feeds into my O Bar mushiness that always happens around this time of the year. I wish the posts would get more engagement from the queens directly involved in the different performances, but I understand that it's a pretty busy time for a lot of them and it's not like they're as perennial online as I am. Plus many of them are public figures at this point, so they're probably getting tagged in a LOT of posts, so maybe my stuff is just getting lost in the shuffle of things.
I guess that's it for now - we have a game night to get to and all that.
