First off, congrats to Maxie for winning season 3 of Drag Race Philippines. I remember my shock when we first saw her performing at O Bar back in 2018 as we recognized her from Maxie: The Musical. While the final lipsync could have gone either way, I'm extra glad that Maxie won given her long journey to get here. She has always been a star and I'm glad that this win just validates what a lot of us already knew. A well-deserved win indeed.
I should get done with this blog post sooner so we have time for other things...not that I have anything in particular in mind. We have the season 2 finale of Rings of Power playing as I write this because I'm racing to complete as many of our in-progress shows as possible before I fly to Singapore next week. There are limited changes of us doing virtual watch parties while I'm over there, so it's smarter to get things over with sooner rather than later.
That still leaves the question of how to spend the rest of the night after this. We'll inevitably end up playing a board game or something - but which game? Or is there something else we can do that's just as meaningful? Tobie has a game tomorrow. Then we have O Bar on Friday night. Saturday is going to be an overnight game day. And then on Sunday, we're going to watch Six. By Monday morning I'll be at the airport and that's that.
Time flies by so quickly.
