Metro Manila Community Quarantine - Day 689
Happy Chinese New Year!
We didn't exactly do anything related to the holiday since Tobie actually had work today due to a holiday offset. So while I got to sleep in a bit, he had to get up early for a 9AM meeting. But once I did get up, I was determined to make the most of the holiday and make up for not having done anything major yesterday by really working out. But I'm also still trying to rein myself in and not push too hard given my injury last month, so it was a tricky balancing act. So I settled on a good resistance band workout followed by a strength-based yoga flow that helped me clock in over 500 calories burned.
From there, I handled our brunch for the day since Tobie was still working and ended up with the above spread of pork adobo, scrambled eggs, and blanched broccoli and cauliflower. This is actually part of our standard far from week to week since it's pretty easy to prepare and yet still gives us a good mix of things that makes for quite a hearty meal.
I caught up on a little reading and played more Star Trek Online and Unpacking but that was about it. And then it was time for dinner, our daily episode of Crash Landing on You and then today's Baduy Pride episode about Escape Simulator.
But now we have more time for more proper holiday activities since Tobie filed leave for tomorrow to match my extra Singapore holiday. So our goal for the night is to try and finish the Unidragon Quezzle Amazing Cappadocia sets by tomorrow so that we can pack it up again. This is from the same group that created that gorgeous lion puzzle I did a few weeks ago and I'm pretty stoked since this is a puzzle and a game experience. It should make for a fun holiday activity together.
