So after yesterday's efforts at financial min-maxing, I recognize that I've gotten a lot done. I set up my Tonik account, moved my money out of CIMB, placed redemption orders for my slow-moving mutual funds across BPI, GCash, and even COL Financial, secured some initial REITs, and have plans in place for my next investments. But after all that...nothing. It's a little anticlimactic, as financial stuff like this is really more long-term. I still need to wait for my redemptions to clear and be credited back to the respective accounts so I can continue to optimize things.
I get why people go for the likes of MariBank with their daily crediting of interest, as it gives the sense of immediate progress and results. As for me, it'll be mostly back to waiting for the next milestone and monitoring things accordingly.
It'll be a quiet night of writing for me tonight. I'm still trying to figure out this week's Geeky Guide article, as is the way of things since the site revamp. Tomorrow Tobie will be running an RPG at an event at Hobby Kaikan, so that'll account for most of our Saturday. I'm not committed to actually playing in any of the games, but I'll still accompany him for support. Admittedly, I think I just want to read, as I'm still trying to catch up on my reading goals. But let's see how much socializing I'm up for tomorrow.
Finally, we have an online RPG session on Sunday, as we try to keep our campaigns moving despite the looming holiday period. We're at least meeting our two active campaign groups almost once a month, so that's not too bad. Some gaming is better than no gaming after all.
