03084: Another Komiket Wrapped

Sunday - Tobie's Story Structure Talk

We just got through the second day of Komiket All-Original, and it was quite the busy day. Tobie had two sessions "on stage" - one for his contribution to the Horror Issue of Komiket Komiks, and a second one for Story Structure, specifically based on his work for Diliman Generation Now. This was on top of manning his booth today, so kudos to him. These event weekends demand a lot of him, and the least I can do is keep him company and address his other needs, like keeping him fed and such. The glorious life of komikero's partner.

I managed not to spend too much money today, but I still couldn't resist a few more early Christmas presents. Always good to support local when buying gifts, and you can't get more authentically local than with independent creatives.

I keep meaning to write a longer blog post about the work that Komiket does for the creative community, but I haven't organized my thoughts on the subject just yet. They do a lot of good for artists, and I want to do their efforts proper justice. Maybe it'll make for a good Geeky Guide editorial piece, something that should branch out further into more book-related content on the site for a change.
