After I wrote yesterday's blog post, it was announced that Tim Curry had also died on Tuesday night. He was also 80 years old. Then Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama was confirmed dead today, so it has been a rather eventful 24 (or so) hours.
As I'm on leave tomorrow and taking the local holiday on Monday, today was pretty busy. I wanted to clear as much as I could in order to avoid needing to squeeze in extra work during my birthday weekend. Some work will probably be inevitable, but I deserve a little wiggle room.
We'll be going to O Bar later because Thursdays are comfy and chill, and it'll be my birthday salubong activity, so there's that. I could have mapped out a somewhat bigger celebration during a higher-traffic night like Friday or Saturday, but...why? We're keeping this year's celebrations smaller and easier to manage. Maybe we'll force a movie this weekend as a change of pace. We have a lot of flexibility.
Now I just want to figure out a quickie social media post I can use across platforms to act as a dumping ground for birthday greetings or something.
