As a follow-up to yesterday's thoughts on signing up for subscription reading services, my working timeline breaks down as follows:
- Kindle Unlimited - I'll first finish the core Witches-related Discworld books. I'm already on Wyrd Sisters, which leaves Witches Abroad, Lords and Ladies, Maskerade, and Carpe Jugulum. Then I'll sign up so I can resume Dungeon Crawler Carl. Intellectually, I know I should wait for Cyber Monday, but that sale day is a few months away. Plus, getting the Dungeon Crawler Carl I don't own yet will cost more than a Kindle Unlimited subscription, so there's that.
- Marvel Unlimited - I'm still working through the DC Rebirth Batman run under Tom King, so I might as well focus on that before going for more recent Marvel stuff. I'm undecided if I'll go through all of my Batman Family Rebirth titles before shifting my reading focus. Admittedly, I'm kinda itching to catch up on more recent Spider-Man stories, Star Wars titles, and the big One World Under Doom story arc (if already available). Let's see how long I can hold out.
I like having a timeline, because I'm nerdy that way. I really should wait for sales, but I'm not sure if I can hold on until October/November when the next sales are expected to come along. Plus, it gives me a framework in which to enjoy my current books with the reassurance that I'll unlock new stuff in the near future. I just have to read faster, maybe. LOL
Work was good. The day also started very rainy, but things seemed to have calmed down since the afternoon. Let's hope for better weather tomorrow, as I skipped addressing the laundry queue today given the morning rains. Just one more shift until the weekend.
