I woke up some pretty intense rain this morning. All this just makes me extra glad that Tobie and I mostly work from home as this morning was definitely a time to stay indoors. And all this is just the interaction between q tropical storm (not a typhoon) and low pressure area over Luzon, not even directly over Metro Manila.
And what a workday it has been! Last week's deferred proposal has been my focus for most of the week, but things really came to a head today with the deadline looming tomorrow. It's not the only proposal that the team has been working on, so everyone's plates are full with different things. I did my best to take on as much as possible for this one, and it ate up most of my day. I still did my best to keep pace with other initiatives at the same time in order to avoid keeping clients waiting too long, but there's still a lot left for me to catch up on tomorrow. This is one heck of a way to end the week, this being the first workweek of my birthday month, to boot!
At least we have a long weekend to look forward to. Here's to hoping we'll also get better weather so we can enjoy the time fully.
To help avoid stressing myself out too much, I've been doing my best to squeeze in regular walking in-between tasks. Walking means reading time, and as I've already covered the needed pages for our family book club title, I'm just focused on reading the Dungeon Crawler Carl books.
I've also been tinkering with my virtual MTG Commander decks online. They're all Bracket 2 compliant in terms of card restrictions, but many trend closer to bracket 3 in terms of power, which is still manageable. I now have a Marvel Runaways deck and have continued to make improvements to my other concept decks, these being Marvel Doctor Doom, River Song, Thopters Marvel Taskmaster, Green Dinosaurs, Transformers Soundwave, and even a Slivers deck. We're limited to playing with these decks online via EDH Play and such, but it's still good fun.
