It has been an extra quiet weekend at the Sietch. After finishing the Kylie documentary on Netflix, we made some time to finally revisit the Mother of Frankenstein game and finished the first two parts of Volume Two last night, and went through the last part this afternoon. There's still a third volume of the campaign puzzle game for us to play through, but we see that we're going to need elements from the first two books in order to resolve whatever final puzzle the designers have set up. The second volume wasn't as strong as the first, but maybe it'll all come together in the end. At the very least, it has been a pretty interesting narrative, even if the connection between the puzzles and the story isn't quite consistent.
On the good news front, Tobie's replacement Apple Pen arrived a full week earlier than expected. He had been stressing over the death of his pen, given that it had impacted his ongoing efforts for his comic. He had found a workaround while waiting for his new pen, but it wasn't a full replacement for the kind of fine control he needs for his drawing. So I'm glad that the problem is now behind us since he can resume work at full speed.
Tobie just has an editing meeting tonight, but the rest of the night will be free. I'm tempted to stay up hoping to catch the water when it's scheduled to come back at 05:00am. We're not hurting for water yet, but I do get a little nervous when we don't get to refill the tank at least once. We haven't had water for most of today, despite the "official" schedule, which was supposed to start at 10:00pm. Oh, South life.
Back to my reading for now.
