I had a pretty full day at work today - so much so that the hours just blitzed by. There were two lengthy meetings alongside other reporting items that I needed to address today, and that just took up most of my time. It has been quite the busy week overall, but at least there haven't been any crazy fires to deal with.
I've already booked my flight for my Singapore trip for the quarter. I'll be out of town for pretty much the first half of June, which ensures that I won't miss any Pride festivities towards the end of the month. It's a little too late to catch my younger nephew's birthday, so I'm going to have to find a way to make up for that. They're both of the age where they remember things quite clearly, and they have no qualms about holding me accountable for things. Kids grow up so fast!
We just got our electricity bill for the month, and WOW, what a jump. As much as consumption was higher than last month, but still the change was kinda bonkers. We were expecting to pay more since the weather as of late has forced the need for extended AC use, but man, this was painful. We'll have to see what we can do to manage things moving forward, but there's no getting away from rising utility costs these days.
