I've been working with numbers a lot this week, but at least it hasn't been as maddening when I'm working on multiple media reports at the same time, which is what kept me busy during the first half of the month. At least it was interesting work, and future runs of the same report should take a lot less time next time.
Headlines of note:
- The DILG's analysis of the CCTV footage from the Senate shootout has them concluding that no attack on the Senate actually happened. Apalasca insists it did happen and is claiming editing/splicing, because of course he is.
- The media has finally received the 9-months-overdue Trump phone, and it's even stupider than initially expected.
- There was a lot of crying in the Senate today. So yeah, just more of the usual Philippine political theater.
- I can't believe the US hoped the new industrial hub would be given the same legal status as the US embassy. Thankfully, this proposal has been rejected, but I doubt they're done trying to maneuver things.
- Google has announced a major shift for Search to full AI Search, which is troubling publishers everywhere. This isn't going to help The Geeky Guide's traffic growth efforts either.
- Senator Bato Dela Rosa remains at large.
I've been struggling to make time to unbox Transformers again since my stacks of boxes have gotten rather ridiculous. A lot of my free time is dedicated to things like processing O Bar videos, catching up on my reading, and playing board games when we can. I at least have a box waiting to be filled with these Tranformers once I get them released from their plastic and cardboard prisons. It's not the most elegant storage solution, but it'll be sufficient for now. I really need to get my collection in order.
Time is the true sign of wealth of the upper classes.
