So Senator Bato Dela Rosa is back in hiding, and the slow wheels of justice are only beginning to turn. The Ombudsman has announced that his office is launching a full investigation into the Senate shooting incident and has also ordered the preventive suspension of acting Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Aplasca. The DOJ has announced its own effort related to this, but none of these answers any questions about the shooting with any degree of certainty. At least people have promised to (try to) get to the bottom of things, but such investigations tend to take time, more so when they involve so many political figures.
We took the day off today for family stuff, and I'm glad that we made the time to do so. We didn't do anything extravagant, but it was just nice to share meals together and enjoy everyone's company. Sometimes that's all you need - time together.
No big plans for tonight. I still have this week's Geeky Guide article to figure out, but at least I've churned out more reviews while letting my brain percolate ideas. I think I need to play a few games with Tobie before I dive back into writing, so we'll see how the night progresses. I was hoping to catch The Sheep Detectives at the theater, but it seems none of the nearby cinemas have the movie anymore, which just stresses how quickly things cycle around here.
