Despite a weird allergy attack that had me sneezing and sniffling all night, I managed to get a decent Geeky Guide article out. I'm getting a little concerned that my progress with the site had slowed significantly in recent weeks. It can't be helped, there has been a lot going on with things like the Asian Board Games Festival last week, plus work in general. And it was only the other week that the site finally got approved for Google AdSense again, so it's only now that the site has an actual source of potential revenue. It hasn't actually earned anything just yet, but it least it has the potential to do so.
Getting that article out rather drained me, but at least it's out there. I was hoping to churn out few more reviews today, but we slept in (which no one can regret on a weekend), and by the time we had finished lunch, the first of our guests arrived. So no more writing for the day (just look at how late this blog post is).
Since we knew our guests couldn't all arrive at the same time due to different obligations, we had agreed that we'd first play a round of MTG Commander. I still used my all-Doctors deck, Tobie had the Masters of Evil precon deck, and our friend had the Riders of Rohan precon deck. It got pretty close, but my wild Doctors managed to overwhelm everyone by the end once my Hero's Podium came into play.
We ended up tackling the heavy Ada's Dream as our main game for the night, now that all players are here. This will be our only game with all players, then we'll see what else we'll be busy with as the night progresses, depending on who's still around to game.
Good stuff.
