It has been a rather light Labor Day, despite some side work intruding.
We went to O Bar last night and had a good time despite the somewhat larger holiday crowd. This gave us an excuse to sleep in after that, which was a gift in itself. When we did get up in the afternoon, we focused on our respective side gigs. Tobie had concepts to work on, and I tried to populate the Geeky Guide with more reviews to feed future long-form article content. Then we had a good massage at a nearby spa as today's primary indulgence.
However, I've been experiencing increasing issues with PowerImporter, which is my 1-way sync service from Airtable to Webflow. I'm sorely tempted to switch to a 2-way sync service that might cost more but should have fewer of these issues where one little thing being wrong sends the whole sync workflow into disarray. Thus far, the only surefire way to troubleshoot bad syncs is to delete my entire board game review database in Webflow, then re-sync. It wasn't as big a problem when I only had like 100 reviews on the site. But now I have over 300 reviews, and it's getting worse. So before I can work on this week's long-form article, I need to do a database purge before I can move forward.
We have a busy weekend ahead of us with the 2-day Asian Board Games festival to look forward to. I hope we see some of you there!
