02FBD: Counting Down

Wednesday - Green Chili Chicken Rice

Because of the differences in the Singapore work schedule, this has still been a busy week for me. I've still been reporting to the office, and I still have one more work shift tomorrow. It's always this way when I'm in town. I still have full days at the office, and the early evening becomes dedicated to spending time with the nephews before it's time for them to go to bed.

One highlight for work today - I finally got to try the green chili chicken rice (as captured in the blog image above) that everyone at the office has been going nuts over the last year. It's a great dish, but definitely quite spicy, and I'll be dealing with the consequences of this dining choice until tomorrow. I just hope it clears before the evening - we're scheduled to go to the Night Safari after work because the boys really want to show it to me. Uncle duties.

I'm within the last 48 hours of this trip - something I'm reminded of once my airline prompts me to check in for my flight. This triggers me processing my eTravel stuff for Philippine Immigration, and final checks like that. I still haven't packed my limited purchases from the trip so far, and I expect to get a few more pasalubong items tomorrow, so we'll see how this unfolds. It's not like I had an overly full suitcase coming in. I had mapped out some of these purchases, so this is still within my travel parameters.

I should take a stab at processing more O Bar videos, but maybe I'll take it a little easy tonight and just read or something. The smarter thing to do would be to get started on packing, so let's at least settle some of that. The additional items I expect to get won't be heavy, but will be quite fluffy/puffy, so that always becomes a different packing challenge. Things!
