Despite an announced 20-minute delay at NAIA, my flight to Singapore arrived on time. Nothing notable happened during my time at the airport or the flight itself, which is supposed to be a good thing, yeah? There's still a lot of renovations going on at NAIA Terminal 3, but at least the entire terminal was comfortably cold.
I immediately met up with the family here at Jewel since we needed to secure a new laptop for me to replace my Legion, which had committed suicide for some unknown reason. But my nephews were part of the welcoming committee, so I immediately got pulled into guncle duties. So while trying to assess which laptop to get, I also had to deal with a little boy offering me different items in the store in case I wanted to buy them or asking me to transform the Bumblebee figure he had brought with him, and asking how I knew how to transform it. This carried on through dinner, where I had to sit beside him, to the car, where he sat on my lap, and all the way home, since I had to read him a story before bed.
As much as I can say this is a work trip, we all know this is a family trip. Or maybe more specifically, a nephew trip. The little tyrant is rather relentless, and yet also charming in his own way. I look forward to what new challenges he'll have for me in the coming days. I feel like he's been planning this since (at least) the Chinese New Year, and he has a list in his head of the many things he needs me to do for him.
Anyway, I have a new computer to set up. Side note: I had named my last Lenovo Legion laptop "Haller" because of the Marvel Legion character. This new Lenovo Yoga is tagged as an "Aura Edition". In Magic: The Gathering, Auras are a type of Enchantment. Back to Marvel, the first name of the Enchantress is Amora, so that's the name of this new unit. It's a rather convoluted way of naming a laptop, but it makes sense to me.
