After a productive halfway shift, Tobie and I watched Project Hail Mary and we really enjoyed the movie. I still teared up even if i knew exactly what was going to happen. I was more impressed at how closely the movie followed the book, with the biggest changes being certain science-heavy sequences were condensed into montages or dialog. I was more eager to see how Tobie was going to respond to the movie, and he teared up a few times, too.
AMAZE. AMAZE. AMAZE.
I figure I should write a proper review for this movie somewhere once I've collected my thoughts. I already put lot of effort into my Project Hail Mary game night list. So is there room in the Geeky Guide for even more content about this franchise? Only time will tell.
We squeezed in a quick resupply run since we were already at the mall. The bulk of our fresh produce purchases have shifted to the kadiwa market on most Sundays, but we still need things from the supermarket. A fair amount of my shopping needs were more in anticipation of my trip next week, as is often the case when I'm in that pre-flight mindset.
Tonight we have a new friend over for a board game night. We only had a short Sunday afternoon session with him previously, so I'm looking forward to a full game night this time around. He's one of the few gamers we've met that actually live relatively close by and could be available for more regular gaming. Plus he's a nice guy to hang out with, so that checks a lot of boxes.
I hope you all have a good weekend ahead.
